Hello everyone and a very happy Sunday!
This Sunday has been such a weird day so far… I feel like I just got up (and it’s 6 PM right now) and I am also a bit confused by the holidays. I will be off work until the 29th of December and… well, it confuses me!
Anyways. I’ve cleaned the house today, redecorated a bit, I baked a pretty cake (we’ll have friends over tomorrow!), knitted a bit and I also created this pretty DIY for you:
Unfortunately, the charger for our – great – camera is broken (I still have to figure out wether it’s the charger or the battery itself…) and I had to take all the pictures with my phone. I hope you don’t mind. I tried my best!
To create these trees, you’ll need:
First, felt the wool to the styrofoam tree. If you don’t know how to do this… check my other styrofoam + felt DIY here.
Trying needle felting was one of my goals for 2011. And I have to tell you: not only do I love the simple process of needle felting but I also love what else you can do with the felting needle and wool. Like these trees…. – amazing!
Your tree should look something like this:
I didn’t felt the wool “too tight” – just loose and fluffy because I like the way it makes the trees look. So dreamy and cute!
Now you just want to decorate the trees the way you want to. Mine are kind of classy but still “funky” because I chose pink merino wool and snowflakes.
Can’t wait to see your christmas trees! Please share <3
