Even though this day started as a grey and rainy one, the rain has now gone away and I went away from the sofa and… hello! Creativity is here
Since I am not allowed to really go outside (you know, I’m still a little bit sick and if you don’t go to work because the doctor tells you to stay at home, you’re not supposed to run around outside ^^) – I needed to make my time inside as beautiful as possible. And you all know what that probably means
So I just went into my creative paradise and thought…

“What shall I do now?”
And then I saw my lovely gocco printer and felt I should do some gocco action! But what?!
I remembered how much I love cameras and thought of the Diana mini:

And I thought “Wow, I wish I’d have one!”. And then… PLING! There was the idea!

I used my gocco to make Diana mini for myself.
HOW?! Well, just see:

I printed my Diana Mini painting onto white fabric and turned it into a plush toy!

Well, I actually made a bunch of them.

I also made tons of the cards you see on the right side.
And some special things for christmas. But I won’t tell yet, they’re surprises!
Many people ask me how I manage to be creative and to work fulltime. Well, first of all: Creativity is always around me. Even when I’m at work, I doodle little things in my calendar so I won’t forget. And when I come home (and don’t feel too tired) I just start to create. Sometimes, it’s hard to find the right balance, because I also have a social life with family, boyfriend, friends… and I feel like I sometimes forget about that. But crafting in a very special way makes me really happy. And you know, as a social worker, I see the sad side of life every day. Abused children, parents that don’t have the strength to raise their children etc. – I just need some happiness in my life. And colours! And that’s what my art offers me. Happy and colourful hours. Well, it sounds a bit like I was always working fulltime etc…. But I visited university before I started working in October. And I think, studying just offers you so much free time xD Well, it did for me. And I used this time right, I guess.
And because of these months, I am used to do something creative every day. Maybe that’s why it’s not hard for me.
And also people were asking how I manage to blog every day. Well, first of all, it’s fun
And second…. I don’t blog every day. Even though you see something here every day (sometimes even twice a day ^^) that doesn’t mean, I wrote this the day it’s online. I often schedule entries – I write them at the weekend and they are published during the week. I try to offer my readers (and friends) something beautiful every day. And I want all new readers to see something cute each day. I also save some entries I won’t use at the moment so I can use them later.
Oh, and according to inspiring pictures, I can only say… I read a lot of other blogs – 76, to give you a number – and I use Google Reader because it helps me saving a lot of reading time ^^- and I find great inspiration-pictures or ideas over there. And of course I use the “favorite”-option in flickr, the “heart”-button on weheartit and my own “blog”-folder on my computer to collect pretty things. You should try it, it’s fun to check back on old favorites or your collections when your brain seems empty.
Well, I just wanted to answer some of the questions given below the Giveaway-post
Hope that’s ok for you.
Lovelies, I am really feeling better, only my nose and throat are still… sick ^^
Loves,
Katja
